Shibuya City

watercolor, 210mm x 297mm, June 27, 2020

The city of Shibuya is overwhelmingly evolving, but I’m attracted to the energy of this city.
I visited the city after the quarantine was lifted, and during this short and rather felt long period, some scenery was unrecognizable, I felt so left behind.
After I came home and draw this scenery calmed me down because I realized that every lit window, people were working. These trees were planted and maintained by people—millions of people working to create this city.
When I’m able to feel the people’s work, the scenery becomes so sincere to me.
